Note: These are platform eligibility baselines. Local law may impose stricter requirements in each country (see below).
Universal compliance we enforce
- KYC/AML & sanctions: Verify entity, UBOs (≥10%), and directors; screen vs. UN, OFAC, EU, UK lists; enhanced due diligence for sanctioned/high-risk geographies.
- Trade compliance: Incoterms® 2020 correctness, HS classification, export controls (dual-use), end-use/end-user checks, and product conformity (food, medical, electrical, etc.).
- Anti-bribery: No facilitation payments; comply with local anti-corruption laws (e.g., UK Bribery Act / FCPA analogs).
- Data & traceability: We retain digital doc packs (PO, CI, PL, BL/AWB, COO, inspection, certificates) for a minimum of 7 years.
Country-by-country compliance quick guide
What an importer typically must hold/do before goods clear. Use this as your checklist; product-specific rules may add to these.
BRICS (core)
• Brazil — Obtain RADAR/SISCOMEX habilitação before any import; license type ties to financial capacity.
• Russia — EAEU Technical Regulations (TR EAEU) → EAC Declaration/Certificate checked at customs.
• India — IEC (Importer-Exporter Code) from DGFT; additional product permissions may apply.
• China — Foods: producer registration with GACC (Decree 248); many products need CCC certification.
• South Africa — ITAC import permits for controlled/used goods; check DTIC/ITAC control lists.
BRICS+ additions
• Egypt — Certain consumer goods clear only if factory/brand registered with GOEIC (Decree 43/2016).
• Ethiopia — Trade registration & import license; clearance via Ethiopian Customs Commission.
• Iran — Order Registration in the Comprehensive Trade System (ntsw.ir); INSO standards may apply; FX policies are fluid.
• United Arab Emirates — Dubai Customs Business Code (or relevant emirate) via Dubai Trade; VAT TRN if above thresholds.
• Indonesia — API (Importer ID) and OSS/NIB registration; product permits vary by HS.
• Belarus/Kazakhstan — EAEU regime; EAC conformity where applicable.
• Bolivia — Importer registration with customs/tax authority; product controls vary.
• Cuba — Imports via authorized state companies; OFAC restrictions apply for U.S. persons.
• Malaysia — AP for controlled goods; SIRIM approvals/labeling for E&E/telecom; register with Customs.
• Nigeria — SONCAP (pre-shipment conformity) for regulated goods.
• Thailand — e-Customs/Trader Portal registration; Thai FDA permits for certain categories.
• Uganda — UNBS PVoC Certificate of Conformity required before shipment.
• Uzbekistan — Importer registration; Uzstandard conformity on certain goods.
• Vietnam — Import rights via business registration; tax code; MOIT/MOH approvals for some goods.
Major trading partners (non-BRICS)
• United States — IOR requirements; ISF 10+2 for ocean; FDA Prior Notice for food; CTPAT optional.
• EU (e.g., Germany/France/Italy/Netherlands) — EORI; CE/REACH obligations where applicable.
• Japan — Advance Filing Rules (AFR/24-hr); PSE for certain electricals (importer notification to METI).
• South Korea — KCS import declaration (UNIPASS); KC safety compliance for many products.
• United Kingdom — UK EORI; UKCA/CE rules by product & timing.
• Canada — Business Number (BN) + Import/Export (RM) account via CBSA CARM.
• Mexico — Register on SAT’s Padrón de Importadores before importing.
⚠️ Sanctions & export controls: Trades involving Iran, Cuba, Russia/Belarus (and certain entities anywhere) may require additional screening/licensing. We block or reroute any transaction conflicting with U.S./EU/UN rules, even if origin/destination is outside those jurisdictions.
